Wildwood is a community in southeast Saskatoon featuring single-family homes, condominiums and townhouses. It’s home to one public and one Catholic school, Bishop Pocock School and Wildwood School. The Community Association runs a variety of events throughout the year, including a Family Game Night and Community BBQ.
Amenities are rich in Wildwood with its border falling on 8th Street. College Park Mall offers residents Sobeys, Rexall and a number of smaller businesses and restaurants. The Centre Mall is home to Best Buy, Co-op Food Store, two movie theatres, GoodLife Fitness, Indigo and many other retail and restaurant options.
For recreation, many residents visit Wildwood Golf Course, an 18-hole course with a practice green and face. The Lakewood Civic Centre provides the community with a public library, Cliff Wright Branch and an indoor swimming pool with a waterslide. There is also a fitness centre and meeting rooms in the centre as well. Other recreation options include an outdoor skateboard park, BMX track, and Lakewood Indoor Tennis Centre.
There are a total of four parks, Lakewood Park being Saskatoon’s first naturalized park. This provides natural stormwater drainage and a home for various animal and plant species.
