New Homes for Sale in Stonebridge
Stonebridge is a community located in south-central Saskatoon and is one of the largest communities on the east side of the city. The community is a mixture of single-family homes, townhouses, apartments and senior care facilities. Some gated communities offer residents features like tennis courts, gyms and more.
Various commercial options are located on the western edge of the community and central. Stonegate Shopping Centre, found at Clarence Avenue, has many big-box store options. Residents from Stonebridge and surrounding neighbourhoods are able to shop at Walmart, Home Depot, Mark’s Work Warehouse and more. Also in the area is a Value Village, Co-op, banks, restaurants and hotels.
The second commercial area, located off Preston Avenue is still currently in development. At this time it features options such as Shoppers Drug Mart, Sobeys, Great Canadian Brewhouse and more.
Chief Whitecap School and St. Kateri Tekakwitha School are the two elementary schools that serve the community, which just opened Fall of 2017. A number of secondary schools are a bit further north in neighbouring communities.
Seventeen parks throughout Stonebridge offer a total of 208 acres of green space consisting of playgrounds, sports facilities and more. A number of these are still under construction, with exact features still to be determined. There are a couple of ponds that give Stonebridge residents the option of kayaking or canoeing or having a relaxing picnic by the water. The active community association puts regularly puts on events like an annual community garage sale, movies in the park, BBQ in the park and a trade & craft show.
