New Homes for Sale in Nutana
Nutana is centrally located and was one of three original communities that formed Saskatoon in 1906. The area has an even mixture of single family homes, condominiums and apartments. The borders of Nutana are the South Saskatchewan River, 8th Street and Clarence Avenue, making the community primarily residential, but still rich with amenities.
When Nutana was a town its main street was Broadway Avenue, which to this day is still the central hub of the community. It features many historical buildings including the Broadway Theatre which hosts a variety of live performances and Fire Hall #3 which has been revamped into The Hose and Hydrant Brew Pub.
Broadway Avenue also plays host to some of Saskatoon’s most popular summer events, including the Saskatoon Fringe Theatre Festival and the Broadway Street Fair. These events, along with all the retails stores and restaurant options bring visitors from all over the city to Nutana. Homestead Ice Cream on Victoria Avenue is a common stop for many on a hot summer day.
Rotary Park and Cosmopolitan Park are just two of Nutana’s many parks. They are both located along the riverbank and offer amazing views of downtown Saskatoon and are great spots to watch the sunset over the river. You’ll often see different events being held in Rotary Park, including free weekly outdoor yoga in the summer.
It’s a quick walk across the bridge to access downtown and it’s not far from Royal University Hospital or the University of Saskatchewan. Many amenities are available down 8th Street and in Stonegate Shopping Centre.
