Erindale, one of the larger residential areas in the city, is located in north-east Saskatoon. With two elementary schools located centrally in the neighbourhood and three parks with almost thirty-five acres of space, Erindale is a very popular neighbourhood for families. The parks give residents access to soccer fields, baseball diamonds, outdoor rinks, a spray park and many walking paths. There is also a man-made lake backed by houses at John Avant Park.
There is little commercial development, but everything you could need can be found in University Heights and Sutherland. The nearby Sasktel Sports Centre includes an indoor walking track and many sports fields and walking through the Forestry Farm Park & Zoo is a great way to spend your free time. Walk or drive through the park in winter and enjoy the themed Christmas lights of the Enchanted Forest.
