The Warranty Process:
Rock Ridge Homes homeowners are eligible for two warranty visits during the first year of ownership. The first visit, if needed, must be scheduled no earlier than 30 days from closing. The second visit, if needed, must occur no sooner than 10 months and no later than 12 months from closing. Both warranty visits may be taken after the 10 month period.
1. To schedule a warranty visit please send a written description of defects and contact Rock Ridge Homes through email, mail or fax. Upon written receipt of the written description the Quality Assurance representative will schedule a warranty evaluation. If the evaluation finds warrantable defects, Rock Ridge Homes Inc. will schedule repairs.
2. During the first year if an emergency situation arises that involves damage to the home or needs urgent attention, please contact Rock Ridge Homes Inc. through phone or email. During the second year only emergency issues relating to the plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems are covered. Emergencies caused by homeowner neglect or abuse are excluded from the warranty.
3. Every Rock Ridge Homes homeowner receives a Home Pro Warranty with their home. Refer to your Home Pro Warranty manual to determine if an item is covered under warranty if you have misplaced your manual and are unsure you may visit their website for more information: www.homeprowarranty.com
Customer Care - Home Maintenance
So you've just moved into your brand new home. What should you do now?
One of the most important things to remember is that you are responsible for certain routine maintenance items to keep your house functioning properly. These tasks tend to be relatively simple. For instance, many types of heating and air conditioning systems contain filters to remove dirt and dust from the air. These filters should be changed on a regular basis.
Cleanliness is a factor that will make your home last longer and work better. Dust and dirt, if allowed to accumulate, can harm the finishes on blinds, cabinets, countertops, floors, sinks, tubs, toilets, walls, tiles and other items. If dirt does accumulate, make sure to clean it with a substance that does not scratch or damage the finishes.
On the outside of your home, make sure that gutters and downspouts do not get clogged with leaves or other objects. The exterior of your house is built to withstand exposure to the elements, but a periodic cleaning will improve the appearance and, in many instances, prolong the life of siding and other exterior products.
When you bought your home, you received a warranty from us. This warranty applies to problems related to the construction of the home, but it does not apply to problems that arise because of failure to perform routine maintenance. Also, some items such as appliances may be covered by manufacturers' warranties which will not be covered by your Home Pro Warranty.
You should fully familiarize yourself with the terms of the warranty policy. You should not wait to read your warranty until a problem arises.
