A village feel and lots of greenspace distinguish this jewel just outside of Ottawa
Clarence Crossing is an exciting new 500-acre master-planned community in Rockland, just east of Ottawa’s city limits. Built by eQ Homes along the banks of the beautiful Ottawa River, Clarence Crossing features a series of linked “villages” consisting of about 150 homes each. Roughly 2,500 homes are eventually expected to be built. New homes in Clarence Crossing consist of bungalows, bungalow towns, and low-rise condominiums.
Trees and greenspace are integral design features
Active living and an emphasis on nature are key themes in the development and planning of Clarence Crossing. A wooded boulevard from Highway 17 that is lined with parks and streets that lead to individual villages is planned. A pedestrian footbridge over Clarence Creek is also planned to connect existing homes with future phases of development.
A main street with amenities is planned
A town centre with restaurants and shops and other interesting amenities will be located along a main street to reinforce a village feel. A community centre, and a marina are also part of the vision and master plan for Clarence Crossing. Everything will be within walking distance with pedestrian and cycling paths connecting villages and other trails, natural walkways and woodland paths that dot the area.
The growing city of Rockland offers elementary and secondary school options and a thriving downtown core. For residents seeking more shopping options and amenities, the massive Place d’ Orléans shopping centre with over 180 brand name retailers is a short 15 minute drive away.
A quiet haven
Clarence Crossing has been designed with downsizers and retires in mind. However, with downtown Ottawa just 30 minutes away, Clarence Crossing is also sure to attract young families and anyone who wants to leave the frantic hustle bustle of urban living behind.
Why not take a scenic drive to see the new homes at Clarence Crossing for yourself!
