1958 - Leith Moore is born in Ottawa suburbs. Childhood influence: Bruce Springsteen. Listened to “Darkness at the Edge of Town,” and wanted to make it brighter.
1981 - After graduating from University of Waterloo’s School of Planning, joined Sorbara Group and stayed for 32 years, becoming VP of Development.
1993 - While discussing housing and the early condo boom at conference in Toronto, Leith encountered Jane Jacobs, who characterized him as a “sensible young man.”
2001–2004 - As Chair of Evergreen board, raised the first $10-million towards restoration of the now-iconic Don Valley Brickworks.
2009-2013 - As Chair of the Building Industry and Land Development Association and as President of the Ontario Homebuilders Association, successfully advocated for six-storey wood-frame buildings in Ontario.
2013 - Appointed by Anne Golden as the developer representative on the Ontario government’s Transit Investment Strategy Advisory Panel.
2014 - As Senior Vice President, launched Fieldgate Urban, a division of Fieldgate Homes devoted to building mid-rise communities.
2016 - Appointed by David Crombie to the Province of Ontario’s Coordinated Land Use Planning Review.
2016 - Waverley Projects Inc. is founded.
2018 - Appointed to Ontario Greenbelt Council by The Province of Ontario.
Co-Founds R-Hauz Solutions Inc. – off site manufacturing of infill towns and rear lane suites.
