The Werden Family has been building homes since 1948. My interest in construction started when I was a teenager working at our local lumber yard building garden sheds with my grandfather. Thanks to him, and to the rest of my family, I learned that hard work, a commitment to quality, and excellent service are the the most valuable and important things you can offer customers.

After a few brief years attempting to break into the film industry, I decided that Hollywood didn't need another stuntman, so I returned home to pursue my passion for home building. Armed with a SAIT education in Architectural Technologies and Estimating, I began my career working as a site supervisor for various luxury builders in Calgary. And in 2007, after much hard work, innovative thinking, and competitive research, we built a home that was featured in Alberta's Best Home Magazine.

While building over 150 homes with those builders, I developed an eye for quality and style and a solid foundation of knowledge from which to start my own company in 2008. Now, years later I am proud to say that Serenity Custom Homes and Renovations has built and sold unique and beautifully designed homes in some of Calgary's most prestigious neighbourhoods.
