ABOUT US

Calista Homes is the vision of the husband and wife team of Patrick and Lamise Kochorek. Founded in 2000, the name of this Calgary based builder stems from the Greek word ‘Kalista’, which means “most beautiful”.  The name symbolizes the couples’ commitment to producing beautiful homes, and also serves as a namesake to their first child. The mission of Calista Homes is simple; to build beautiful homes, inside and out, from the foundation to the finishing. While Pat and Lamise harbor no aspirations of becoming one Calgary’s biggest builders, they won’t shy away from becoming one of its best.

Pat and Lamise have been involved in designing and building custom homes since 1996 where they worked alongside another veteran Calgary builder with more than 30 years of experience.  As a result, Calista Homes has cultivated and maintained valuable relationships with established suppliers and experienced trades people, enabling them to utilize only the highest quality materials and workmanship.  As a boutique builder focused on a select group of new home projects in any given year, Calista Homes is focused all aspects of the business, from the architectural design all the way through to the finishing and beyond.  

Calista is quite literally a ‘hands-on’ builder with Pat or Lamise on-site everyday maintaining quality control, overseeing the progress of the project, and resolving any issues that may arise, all in a timely, professional manner. No detail goes unnoticed in the creation of a Calista Home; the result is a beautiful home that maintains the functionality required for comfortable, everyday living

As a specialty builder Calista chooses to create homes in established communities within the inner city. Communities defined by proximity to downtown, convenient access to a wide array of restaurants and shops. Mature, treed neighborhoods close to parks and recreation facilities. Because these homes are built in established communities the result is the union of traditional charm with new style and construction. A beautiful, new home in a mature, established neighborhood.
