1 Year Workmanship and Material Coverage
Workmanship and Material protection offers coverage for defects in materials and labor. This includes items such as baseboards, flooring, and fixtures for a period of one year starting on the warranty commencement date.
2 Year Delivery and Distribution Systems Coverage
Delivery and Distributions Systems protection offers coverage for defects in materials and labor related to delivery and distribution systems. This includes heating, electrical and plumbing systems for a period of two years starting on the warranty commencement date.
5 Year Building Envelope Coverage
The Building Envelope coverage offers protection against defects in in the building envelope which the Act defines as “the system of components that separates the controlled interior air from the exterior” (e.g. roof and exterior walls) for a period of five years starting on the warranty commencement date. Purchasers have the option to extend 2 additional years through the Builder up to the day of possession at an additional cost.
10 Year Structural Coverage
The Structural Coverage offers protection against structural defects on things such as framing and foundation for a period of ten years starting on the warranty commencement date.
