Argyll House II
The design rational for this house stems from the lot, which tapers to 16' at the rear, and the presence of parkland which it faces to the north. It has a loft bedroom suite at the second level, and open space throughout the main floor with all areas oriented to the ravine view. The central segment of the building contains an office over a garage bay, and there is a self-contained suite above the remainder of the garage. The staircase leads to a partly shaded roof terrace. The roof is insulated to R-70; the basement and main floors are heated and dyed concrete. The basement contains common room, media room, two bedrooms, and storage below the garage. Heat is from high-efficiency boiler and furnace. All glazing is triple pane with double Low-E coatings.
